La Serena golf course was designed by Manuel Piñero and was opened in 2006. The course is par 72, 5,884 meters in length from the yellow tee and 4,923 from the red tee. The course is flat and shorter than most golfers are used to, but at the same time not an easy golf course. Water hazards and possible winds can influence your score. Careful and accurate play is highly recommended when playing the course. The course is near Mar Menor beach and the whole area is very beautiful; people should look out for the 500-year-old castle style watchtower that was used to watch out for pirates.
